Trilussa.org.uk is a tribute to Rome's most famous poet Carlo Alberto Salustri best known as Trilussa.

It is interesting to know the origin of his pen-name Trilussa, in fact it is the pseudonym anagram of his very same name, Salustri.

Trilussa used the Roman dialect of Italian in his writings and he excelled in the sonnet. Although more than half century has passed from the creation of his last work, the great Italian poet satirist Trilussa describes in his poetry a reality that to this very day is unquestionably still very much ours. Trilussa portrayed in a subtle way the Italian society during the Fascist period using fables to hide his satire.
